How you might use it: You can self-print or use it digitally. Post in offices, waiting rooms, libraries, coffee shops, community boards, etc.; Use at job fairs and other events.

What this is: A PowerPoint presentation with information about what home care is, the type of roles available and the benefits the jobs offer. Notes are included on each slide. Use the pages relevant to your needs. A PDF of the presentation slides and notes is also available to share and refer to.

How you might use it: Use when talking with partners about home care job opportunities or with potential job seekers — present at student and community job fairs; share with career counselors, job coaches and workforce development colleagues.

Job description

What this is: A standard job description format that explains what home care is, the type of jobs available, the requirements, the benefits and the starting wage.

How you might use it: Copy and paste into online job boards. If a job site requires use of a predetermined job title, categorize these roles under the nearest applicable title, such as Home Health Aide, Care Attendant, Caregiver, etc. or under occupational groups such as “Personal care and service.”

What this is: Individual step-by-step guides for how to apply to each of the available roles. Each provides a high-level overview of the process, then more detailed instructions. They are three to five pages, depending on which language you select.
